1. “It’s all promises.”

That criticism made sense in 2022.

In 2026, it doesn’t.

2. Smart contracts + privacy

DERO didn’t choose between privacy and programmability.

It built private Layer-1 smart contracts using homomorphic cryptography instead of exposing contract state like most chains.

Whether someone prefers the architecture or not, it’s an engineering achievement—not vaporware.

3. Ecosystem

The conversation isn’t just about a blockchain anymore.

Today there are working components like:

I was there last night or should I say early this morning, watching DERO's blockchain reach the 7 millionth block. First halving is up, next one is scheduled for 2030🫡

A wise man said today: "Nobody can have privacy unless we all can have privacy." I don't see how we can achieve that with any other protocol right now.
