This argument fails because it intentionally ignores the critical distinction between Christ under the Old Covenant Law and Christ establishing the New Covenant at the cross.

The Biblical Truth: Being "Lord of the Sabbath" means Jesus is the supreme authority over the Sabbath—He owns it, He fulfills it, and He has the absolute right to set it aside.
Scripture Rebuttal:
Jesus explicitly stated in Mark 2:27 that "The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath." It was a temporary shadow given to Israel to point to spiritual rest.
In Matthew 11:28, Jesus reveals what the physical Sabbath pointed to: "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
