List of series I really love and enjoy, and series that I love to talk about, but don’t mention or discuss them a lot.
So any mutuals can reach me if they feel like it.
As frustrating as Deku's decline was in Act 3, I do appreciate that he was a refreshing concept compared to his battle shonen contemporaries.
It was nice to see a protagonist allowed to be vulnerable, have clear doubts and insecurities of himself, and be comparatively tame.
It's Gon.
Subaru doesn't get nearly as mischaracterized at times because his characterization can become more clear in comparison.
People to this day still think Gon is some psychopath or monster.
@Adept091@hibois24 Nah. It definitely is. That's literally why people praise MCs like Ichigo, Tsuna, Deku, or Yoh. They don't follow conventional traits.
- Taking away Deku and Shiggy's agency during Act 3.
- Making AFO the final antagonist.
- Assassinating All Might as a character in Act 3.
- Executing it's theme of 'saving villains' in the worst way possible.
- Not changing much of hero society in the epilogue
it's so soul crushing to see people label shiki as "rapist" and other terms pertaining to his faults and just ignoring how all of his said faults are actions done against his own will and not highlighting how he desperately tries to overcome those faults throughout the story
