I testified against Senate Bill 2479, a disgraceful anti-ICE blacklist bill that would ban ICE officers from serving in Rhode Island law enforcement.

An ICE officer can help remove violent criminal illegal aliens, protect American families, enforce federal law, and risk their life doing a job and then Rhode Island Dems want to say that person should be barred from serving in law enforcement in RI.

A business in Providence wanted to memorialize Iryna Zarutska, a 23 year old refugee whose life was stolen in a horrifying act of violence by a man who shouldn’t have even been on the streets. Now @PVDMayor wants that mural taken down.

When Democrat leadership is confronted with the human cost of their policies, they do not correct the policies, confront the failure, or defend the innocent. They try to shut down the reminder. Smiley says the mural is “divisive.” No, Mayor the murder was divisive. The failure to protect innocent people was divisive. The instinct to erase the memorial instead of face the truth is what tells people everything they need to know.

Just last week, I was turned away from having a meeting at a restaurant where I’ve regularly held fundraisers and meetings.
