Diana Furchtgott-Roth, Distinguished Fellow, Energy Policy Research Foundation, (@DFR_Economics and @EPRINC_DC) on America's AI race with China:
"We are right now in an AI race with China to get to AI advanced manufacturing — we want to win, and in order to do that, we have to have energy. In order to have that, NEPA reform would be really useful. And we can be leapfrogging the current state of manufacturing, both by the way in the United States and in countries in the global south, to get to the new type of manufacturing that will create jobs. But we're in this race with China.”
'Solar and wind don't work for stable and strong economies.'
Diana Furchtgott-Roth warns the UK against its pursuit of Net Zero.

NEW @WSJopinion piece:
How two hours, snow boots, & basic oversight turned a $4M broadband project into $0.
D.C. asked @NTIAgov for $4M to connect just 55 “unserved” locations.
That’s $70K each in one of the most broadband-dense cities in America.🚩
Something didn’t add up.🧵
😢@NextNav wants free spectrum from @FCC despite negative effects on toll systems, home security systems, and our military. @IBTTA@NationalSheriff
A costly spectrum power-play would put consumers last https://t.co/P89Xx1wKZe
In #SOTU@realDonaldTrump should issue executive order preventing Congress from funding international groups opposing his environmental policies.
World Bank, #IMF and others still get money from US even though their anti-greenhouse gas agenda keeps poor people in poverty.

Instead of ditching his climate regs, @GavinNewsom wants a renewable energy deal with the UK, where unemployment just hit Covid levels. Joint misery?

😲Terrible no good deal: Canada importing 49K Chinese electric vehicles almost duty free
😭70K EVs by 2030!
🕵️♂️Chinese EVs = Chinese spy drones, except on land

President Trump’s restoration of influence over Venezuelan oil sends clear signal to Cuba, Russia, China, and Iran: America is reclaiming strategic ground.

Researchers found that citizens of “free” countries were *6 times* wealthier than those in “mostly unfree” countries. What’s more, they were also *5 times* wealthier than those in “mostly free” countries.
$21 billion saved by @ArielleRoth on broadband investment. Enough for taxpayer refunds or 500 high schools or dozens of hospitals,

UK and Germany are sounding alarms: offshore wind turbines interfere with radar and maritime security. U.S. pause is right call.
https://t.co/gRcGAdtdL4
Early Warning Radar protects America from missile threats. Offshore wind farms could compromise that system. National defense must come first.
https://t.co/gRcGAdtdL4
Offshore wind isn’t just an energy issue—it’s a national security risk. Radar interference, cyber vulnerabilities, and grid instability demand urgent attention. @Interior Dept’s pause is essential.
https://t.co/gRcGAdsFVw
⛔️Offshore wind plants interfere with radar by sending out vibrations and acoustic signals.
✅Pausing offshore wind makes perfect sense.
😇Renewable energy goals must never come at the expense of national defense or economic stability.

A growing economy with clean air and water needs sustainable demographics. Fear-driven narratives about parenthood undermine both family and environmental progress.
