Thats when nonprofit hotline orgs like the Never Use Alone hotline and Safe Spot step up to provide no stigma overdose prevention monitoring, detection, crisis response and reversal services.
Day in and day out, we are desensitized to the abuse of our unhoused companions. Our society and culture have been conditioned to believe that those who must sleep on the street are unworthy of even the most basic empathy.
They enact laws that not only target our homeless friends, but also place targets on their backs. We will not stand by while you demean humans as inferior beings because of their circumstances. We must continue to hold space for our friends and understand their needs.
This week we got over a dozen new members, community organizers and community members introduced, familiarized, and trained on a variety of firearms.
We also held our first group gun painting!
