We are a group of individuals coming together once a year on bikes to try and raise awareness of the rising burden of DF amputation to patients and the NHS
@NatWoundStrat @UAdderley @CollegePodiatry @footindiabetes Great article highlighting the huge potential to improve lower limb wound awareness, effective treatment, patient experience & outcomes, as well as reducing cost. Well done @UAdderley @WWIC_Wales (Keith Harding) @AnnClwyd
On July 8th/9th our very own Tom Ashcroft, Account Manager for the North West took part in the Diabetic Foot Awareness ride & cycled 176 miles to raise awareness of diabetic foot complications. Read more about @DF_Aware_ride and Tom’s journey: https://t.co/FnVFIY9bYW #DFAware2019

....And its a wrap. 89 miles done today. All home safe and glad to be finished. Please do make sure you tell all you can about the dangers of #diabetes and the appalling amputation rate? Otherwise this has all been in vain. We’ll be back next year in Malvern. #DFAware2019
@LimbO_Products Massive thanks to all at @LimbO_Products for your very kind donation, we really appreciate it and so pleased to have had your support in raising awareness of DF Amputations. 👍❤️🚴
So, we’re done with the Island. 66 miles done, everyone round safely and some incredible views on the Isle of Wight. Some tired legs after the hills, but feeling good. 11 miles left when we get back to Lymington and the #DFAware2019 ride will be finished for this year. ✅❤️💪
41 miles done so far today, so lunch is required. Slight map issue, so we’ve lost @GrahamBowen7 who’s already in Ventnor, we’ve stopped in Shanklyn. All safe, all is good. #DFAware2019
Day 2 of the #DFAware2019 and we’ve made it down to the ferry at Lymington (11 miles done). Off for the real challenge of the ride, 63 miles but 5,500 feet of climbing. Lots of coffee and nervous banter about! #Hilly
@DF_Aware_ride Good lads great effort keeping the profile high to help prevent this massively physical and psychological harm which is becoming a far too prevalent and ‘acceptable’ outcome of diabetes- keep peddling 👍🏻⛰🚴♂️
