@TLiterarian I know what mimetic fallacy is. I agree it’s no excuse for bad writing. I think the final act becomes a little didactic but otherwise is a novel that has resonated with both colleagues and students I’ve worked with, and lends itself to re-reading.

@JackDunc1 Aaahhhh!!! She LITERALLY says in tbe first seconds that she voted for change and feels disillusioned with the emptiness of her vote. But doesn’t feel there’s a viable (left) alternative
