NCAA Approves New 5-for-5 Eligibility Model 🚨
The Division I landscape is changing.
Beginning with the new age-based eligibility model, athletes will receive five seasons of competition within a five-year window, with eligibility starting at age 19 or upon college enrollment.
Key changes:
• 5 years of competition
• Traditional redshirts eliminated
• Most waiver extensions eliminated
• Clock starts at age 19 or college enrollment
• Exceptions remain for pregnancy, military service, and religious missions
This is one of the most significant eligibility changes in NCAA history and could reshape recruiting, roster management, player development, prep schools, gap years, and the transfer portal moving forward.
College coaches, players, and families will need to adjust quickly.
Keith Robertson from @1life1shot1BB 16U is a really smooth shooter who can create shots for himself off the dribble. He has a really pure flick on the ball and can consistently hit shots from all over the court.

There were plenty of 2027 prospects who took advantage of the Summer Madness stage this weekend. I spotlight over a handful of names that left impressions ⬇️

More transfer news as @BruceKelley1 continues to reload at Bullis with incoming wing @ITchoubfong set to join a young collection of talent on Falls Road
Tchoubfong gives the Bulldogs a 2-way wing that can guard multiple spots, attack the rim, and create his own shot. Should step into a sizable role as his team gears up for the live periods
2028 PG Kaiden Argueta will transfer to @standrewsbball, I'm told. Nice pickup for HC Kevin Jones as Argueta looks to step in as a main piece from day one in the backcourt.
