There is a Cold War going on between Jaylen Brown and corporations like Nike. Nike is using its power to fund narratives about Jaylen. They’re using Stephen A. Smith as a corporate prostitute to get their message across.

Timeline breakdown

November 2022

Brown posted: “Since when did Nike care about ethics?” in response to Nike dropping Kyrie Irving.

September 2024

After Brown won the NBA championship and Finals MVP, Nike offered Jaylen $50 million to sign with them after he had already questioned their ethics, and Brown turned down the Nike endorsement offer.

They thought he wouldn’t stand on principle. He also turned it down because they tried to put restrictions on his speech in the clause.

That same year, in 2024, @stephenasmith came out with a video saying “his source tells him that Jaylen is ‘not liked because he thinks he’s better than people.’”

This is why the media has been trying to put a wedge between Jayson Tatum (Nike) and Jaylen Brown.
