Wales need to keep 4 regions whatever happens to bring the younger players through. If current WRU intend to improve the path way where will these players play. Look at ways to improve the regions not cut them. Everyone work together. There will be a few tough years but If we don’t get this right we could well end up in tier 2 for a long time.
@USAP09@LWaunfawr@Mattcook73Cook@WelshRugbyUnion@ospreys I think it was London Welsh who had difficulty with the RFU when they were promoted as I think there needed to be a quota of English qualified players in the squad. Can’t remember the details though
@calgas21@WelshRugbyUnion@ospreys This might sound ridiculous to some Neath/Swansea people, but culturally I believe they are more alike than not, Llanelli is a completely different country. From Neath to Swansea is effectively a small step. From Neath/Swansea to Llanelli is unthinkable.
@calgas21@WelshRugbyUnion@ospreys Q: can you see any club/regional supporters in WALaccepting a merger with the Scarlets, especially the Os? Llanelli has its own culture that’s very different to anywhere else in Wales, it’s a ‘no outsiders’ culture. It would be like asking WAL to merge with ENG and playing in HQ
@calgas21@WelshRugbyUnion@ospreys Yes and no, the fact that both teams tried to accommodate each other, with the Maltese Cross on the badge, playing in black, a healthy Neath contingent in the squad, playing in both clubs until the new stadium was built, ment that identity for both N and S felt represented
@Retired_BB @WelshRugbyUnion@ospreys WRU is made of more than 2 people, you know this as well as anyone, and some have been there since black and white TV. This situation is more complex than I can be bothered talking to you about today. I’ve loved welsh rugby since I was 10, Neath and the Os, I’ll never be a Turk
@Retired_BB @WelshRugbyUnion@ospreys Same people that made this mess are the ones still making decisions, 5mins ago they were 100% behind 4 teams, now there’s only money for 2. When the food is bad in a restaurant, don’t fire the waitress, don’t take three tables from the dining area, what you need is a new chef.
@thepaulwilliams No defensive team is going to man mark a x-kick lifting pod on the far touchline, it takes away competition for ball if your going to kick it away, might as well allow forward passes. This game is ment to be beating the opposition with ball in hand while passing backwards. Why???
Baron Hain, "Palestine Action members spraying paint on military aircraft is moderate by comparison to what the suffragettes did"
"Treating young people as terrorists because they feel frustrated about the failure to stop mass killings and bombings of civilians in Gaza"
"I've never supported their activity, but there's a great difference between what they did and terrorism"
"And if you start labelling people willy nilly terrorists right across the board, you're going down a very dangerous route"
"Al Qaeda's attack on New Yorks twin towers killing 2,753 people - real terrorism"
"ISIS - real terrorism"
"This Labour government is treating Palestine Action as equivalent to ISIS or Al Qaeda, which is intellectually bankrupt, politically unprincipled, and morally wrong"
"Frankly I'm deeply ashamed"
@lionsofficial Shocking, but not shocked. Andy Farrell has a skewed view on players outside of his peripheral vision. As an example, Jac Morgan seems like he’s proving him and most pundits wrong, and only now they realise how good he really is. Probably rates others the same way.
