@GordonRamsay my wife (@ElizaJMiddo) has been watching Hell's Kitchen on YouTube and won't stop laughing at your antics. Can wish her happy birthday on the 21st March?
Done. Finished it. I think it's titled "A Sudden Loss of Magic". Took the longest time for me to write, but I think it may also be my best.
Now I'm just waiting on my artist to finish the cover and time to rock and roll.

Here we go. This is the final edit, isn't it?
Come on. Please.
Other writers tell me that if you can learn to love the editing process, it makes editing more enjoyable (duh). But this is like 10th edit, 3rd rewrite.

12. I guess "Free Friday" again means I say the same as last time.
https://t.co/t4lw6rpNvM Harald's Adventure Wares is always free. Short story introducing Harald, a crooked shopkeeper in a fantasy village. Goblins!

11. This one is easy, all my released books have so far been in the same setting.
The Three Kingdoms. It's a D&D (3.5e) Campaign World I started making when I was like 16. This was in the early 2000's.
World map attached.

10. Motivational quote?
I don't think I have any. But once when I was a kid, my dad said to me, "remember, no matter how good your are at something, there's always about a hundred people better at it than you."

8. A role model for my MC?
Well there's two MCs. One of them, her role model is probably her dead friend. How to survive in the underclass.
The other MC... he wouldn't ever admit to having a role model.

Editing this fucking WIP more. I've got to rewrite about 50% of this thing now, I had to change so much to make my stupid convoluted motivations make any damn sense.
I had this whole bullshit with reveal after reveal and it was just confusing.

A crosswind gusted low over the mountain, whispering warm secrets from the desert. It gathered momentum up the slopes, heard the pines’ snow-laden stories, and grew into a cold plot of buffeting winds and spiraling eddies.

6. Snippet?
There were some terrible inns in Orthendine, rat-filled and lice-ridden, where you wouldn't send your most unwelcome relative to stay after an unannounced visit. This inn made those places look like palaces.

5. I have a free short story set in the same fantasy world as my books. Is that what Free Friday means?
Harald's Adventure Wares: a dishonest merchant has to handle his own goblin problem.

4. There's two main characters.
One of them just wants to hide in the magic academy tower and forget her crimes. To do so, she has to pretend to be a wizard.
The other is trying to find her.

Wife and kid 1 are in Japan for the next week. This means lots of writing in between caring for kids 2 and 3.
I declare that I will complete this round of editing on A Sudden Loss of Magic by the 9th January 2023.
No problem, only 26k words to go.

3. I write in bed. I rarely listen to music while I do, but if I am it's soft instrumental.
I spend a lot of time staring at the screen wondering what to write, then a burst of frantic activity followed by another pause.
