Members of the Lawrence Kansas Police Department and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday delivered the torch to the Ottawa Police Department at Kalmar Ottawa as part of the 45th anniversary of the Kansas Law Enforcement Torch Run.

Today marks 7 years since the May 28, 2019, tornado that impacted Douglas County. Dubbed the "Lawrence-Linwood" tornado, it caused EF-3 damage in Douglas County, narrowly missing the cities of Lawrence and Eudora, before moving into Leavenworth County and causing EF-4 damage.

Kansas Highway 10 Injury Crash Update
Three people were hospitalized, including two children who remain in critical condition, after a three-vehicle crash Wednesday night on Kansas Highway 10 near the U.S. Highway 59/Iowa Street interchange.
