@DominicJPino Still it is something worth doing, IMO. A home should not be seen as an investment and an overall reduction in home prices softens the blow if your own home reducing in value.
@BrandiKruse It is not the failure of KCRHA that alarms Seattle's leadership, but that so many people are aware of it. Expect them to criminalize noticing their screwups.
@Softykjr Ninety minutes of flopping and whining with the corruption of a Mexican timeshare presentation. I want us to do well, but I don't see how this sparks a lot of interest in the game in the US.
Today you will read many sympathetic media stories about B.P.J., the male athlete who challenged WV’s law and lost at SCOTUS.
I’m guessing none will mention that B.P.J. defeated 470+ girls 1,400+ times (including a state title) and sexually harassed our client Adaleia (pictured) in the girls’ locker room. Sadly, Adaleia stopped playing the school sports she loved due to B.P.J.’s ongoing presence in girls’ sports and spaces.
But we’ll probably be lucky if those girls get even a passing mention—let alone a front-page photo.
This has been the pattern on this issue from far too many institutions of power. Boys’ feelings are the focus. Girls’ safety, fairness, and opportunity take a back seat.
I’m so thankful today that the Supreme Court reversed that pattern, acknowledged the reality of biological sex, and remembered the girls.
@PeterZeihan Why believe that abundant energy is ending? There appears to be a global glut of fossil fuel. Should Iran and Russia be re-integrated into the world supply + Venezuela with capital investment along w/ solar + battery and cheap EV's are threatening to reduce demand = glut.
@NewReaganCaucus Defeat, humiliation, and decline is also a realistic way out of this. I don't have much confidence that Trump, Vance, Witkoff, et al. won't at least consider it.
@DastDn Wake me when he gets to
"The misfortune and misery that has befallen the Palestinians since 1947 is largely of their own making. Not only will it continue so long as they continue to think and act as they have, it totally ought to."
@baseballcrank I used to wonder what it was like for citizens in ancient Rome when a crazy emperor like Commodus were so narcissistic they would rename the city, all the months of the year, and the Senate after themselves. I wonder no more.
@letsgowa Ferguson and his coterie of Warm-mongers should be honest and say, "the CCA is working exactly as intended. It absolutely wants to make gasoline so expensive that only the rich and the well connected can afford to drive and if you expected anything else, you're a chump."
@scottlincicome The question will be does the next President and Congress want to change the law so that something like Trump II can't happen again, or will they see Trump II as a good idea poorly executed or perhaps misguided in its priorities?
@letsgowa Since 2015 state spending per resident, after adjusting for inflation and population growth has increased 55-60%. Real wages have grown only 15-30%. How about putting your grandiose spending plans on hold and putting this state on a fiscal diet?
@MercierOnPolicy "A top priority in budget talks for him will be ensuring the state’s sterling bond rating is preserved"
Expect the largest tax increase in the state's history... for the 3rd year in a row.
