AI adoption is not ROI.
If it doesn’t save meaningful time, make money, improve a decision, or enable something that wasn’t reasonably possible before, what exactly are we celebrating?

…and maybe the biggest one:
When should AI not be involved at all?
If a deterministic workflow can do something reliably for pennies, why spend reasoning compute on it?
The fact that an LLM can do something doesn’t mean it should. (right?)
Then there’s the “build VS buy”question.
When do you use an existing AI tool or agent?
When do you build something lightweight around APIs, n8n, scripts, databases, etc.?
At what level of repetition, spend or workflow importance does custom become the smarter answer?
curious whether anyone has developed hard rules like:
Model X → use case Y
Research
Writing
Coding
Data analysis
Document creation
Connected execution
Long-context work
Reasoning-heavy work
Not benchmark scores, but actual operating rules.
@andruyeung This is exactly how we end up with companies saying “we need sales” when what they actually have is a GTM problem.
Sales ≠ GTM.
BD ≠ partnerships.
Freelancer ≠ fractional executive.
These aren’t rebrands.
Words matter when you’re building an org.

Power users with 5+ #Workspace projects still can’t merge #Gcal availability for appointment links. We’re supposed to be using #AI, and I can’t even get a working calendar link that respects my time. Plz fix, @GoogleWorkspace. 🙏🏼
