🕷️ Behind the scenes of #Spiderman No Way Home with #cinematographer Mauro Fiore and production designer Darren Gilford 🎬 We discuss the collaboration between the two departments and break down the biggest scenes of the Marvel movie! ➡️ https://t.co/hFrJSC7QPo #filmmaking
When I got the job to production design #SpiderManNoWayHome my son bought me a pair of rare Spider-Verse Air Jordan One’s. During filming I had them signed by Tom, Andrew, Toby, Zendaya, Jacob, & Jon Watts. I gave them back to my boy for his birthday. @Jumpman23@Nike#AirJordan
@chrisreidburnvo The rock surfaces were sculpted from giant styrofoam blocks, sealed, and then skim coated with plaster. A very talented and artistic construction team is the key.
This is Doctor Strange’s basement workshop and ancient chamber set also referred to as the undercroft from Spider-Man No Way Home. This shot was taken the day before it was first photographed for the movie. #SpiderManNoWayHome#DoctorStrange#MarvelStudios#ProductionDesign
@PinsyPansy@SpiderManMovie All the snow materials used are non-toxic and bio-degradable products. All materials used on set have to be safe for the crew.
This is Doctor Strange's snow covered Sanctum Sanctorum foyer from Spider-Man No Way Home. Originally designed by production designer Charlie Wood, my team and I had to re create this set from scratch. #SpiderManNoWayHome#DoctorStrange#ProductionDesign
@PinsyPansy@SpiderManMovie The special effects snow is a combination of techniques. Cotton snow blankets, cellulose flocking, and paper snow flakes. The special effects team did an amazing job. Thx for your question
Tonight is a special night. I production designed two big movies that are coming out this month, The King's Man and Spider-Man No Way Home. Tonight are the premieres for both films. Karin, Sophie & I got SM in LA. Carson and his buddy Cole are doing The King's Man in NYC.
This is Frito's (@DaxShepard's) bitchin' ride from Mike Judge's Idiocracy. I always love designing picture vehicles for movies and this was my first one. Built on a original GEM electric vehicle chassis. It drove as good as it looks, not well. #Idiocracy#ProductionDesign
This is the "End of Line Club" set from Disney's #TronLegacy. This nightclub bar was perched on top of the tallest spire in Tron City. Built with under lit floors on stage in Vancouver. @TronLegacy#Tron#ProductionDesign#SciFi#Disney
I love the Red Band Trailer for the new movie
#TheKingsMan I spent a good year and half designing this film for Matthew Vaughn. Worth a watch! I'm looking fwd to posting behind the scenes set pics soon. https://t.co/w0riFtQFHG via @YouTube
In honor of the last night of Hanukkah I thought I’d post this one. A great on-set crew tradition from #TheForceAwakens was #StarWars T-shirt Fridays. I had a few good ones, but this was my best offering. I love that Chewy is sporting a Yarmulke. #chewbacca
This is Flynn’s Safehouse from #Disney#TronLegacy This set was engineered and built on custom steel deck so each glass panel could be under lit. The table was custom milled from solid clear acrylic. The grey #Lightcycle was a foam proxy later replaced with CGI. #ProductionDesign
@BenJone58388348@starwars @Lucasfilm_Ltd Most of the construction is manufactured with common materials and trades. This piece was mostly skinned with MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) It's a particle board wood product used for basic carpentry and mill work. The paint and set dec details is what makes it sing.
A derelict AT-AT buried in the sand on Jakku in @StarWars#TheForceAwakens served as Rey’s home. We built part of a full size AT-AT leg and dressed it into the Abu Dhabi desert. Rey charges up this set piece as she’s about to meet BB-8. #ProductionDesign#StarWars#Disney
@filisntn@starwars @Lucasfilm_Ltd They archive what they can and what they think might be used on future projects, but much of the scenery is destroyed and recycled when possible. There is just too much to save, and most the stuff is not bulit to last. Thx 4 the question.
