Famously, Columbus Bishops player Tyler Joseph was NOT drafted, despite being the #1 prospect his entire career. Reason he wasn’t drafted is unknown.

However, he was signed at age 19 to the Columbus Bishops in 2018, and was the FIRST player ever signed to the team.

Players are drafted between ages 17-19.
Drafted players will either continue in the junior leagues, or can be signed immediately to join their team.

Players do not have to be drafted to the DHL to be signed! But most players are drafted and are eventually signed by their team.

@saffffronite Unfortunately, hockey is a business. Players have no choice but to be a part of transactions

[Dema Hockey League @DHLonFPESPN]

@saffffronite Hat trick is when a player scores 3 goals in one game! A dick trick is when you score 4!
