@CaffeyAaron@baileylikemovie Nah, the Plaza or Tara will show the occasional film print, but we don’t have it close to as good as the folks in LA or NYC
Paul Thomas Anderson’s ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER was shot on 500T and 250D 35mm KODAK Film made in our Rochester Manufacturing Facility in New York and shot through a VistaVision Camera. Experience it projected on 70mm KODAK Film in IMAX, 70mm and VistaVision starting on September 24th.
@danrodriguezdp@baileylikemovie Vistavision is literally just running 35mm film horizontally (like in photography cameras) instead of vertically, exposing 8 perfs of film per frame instead of the traditional 4
@Maxmax024@AKlay19 CinemaScore is actually the best at gauging how the general audience feels about a movie, since it’s done by spot polling people leaving regular showtimes at theaters. Much more accurate of a tool to predict box office than the consensus of elite film circles in coastal cities
@Film_School_Dad@akeltheartist The World of Reel article everyone is referencing states that most of the film will be shot on 5/70 film and key sequences will be shot in IMAX 15/70 film
@sunestra @WESTO351869 @Variety Technically Amazon bought MGM (and they bought out the Broccoli family’s creative control over Bond). All the MGM movies still get distributed to theaters in the US by MGM and by WB internationally
@ReevesBatverse@homeofdcu and believe it or not the first project they actually greenlit themselves and were there from day one was Minecraft. So technically the only films that are fully theirs so far are Minecraft, Sinners, and Final Destination
@Horseshoe_Pod@bkfilmmaker86@Variety I think they never actually wrote it off. This tax day (in two weeks) was just their deadline to sell it before they would have to write it off.
@LakelandFLSarah@DiscussingFilm More like DC went through multiple Crisis events that rebooted the universe and then an Anti-Crisis (Dark Nights: Death Metal) that technically made everything that ever happened canon (even though there’s a ton of contradictions), so at this point no one knows what canon is
@RealRenk@CultureCrave From everything they’ve reported so far it just seems like a quieter and lighter 65 mm IMAX film camera. The regular ones are ridiculously huge and loud.
@Trenaxtrenox @Glock015 @DanielRPK This was the event that basically created the movie version of the team with Star- Lord, Gammora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot, but with Nova as the leader of the team (and Gammora was his love interest in this story line, not Star-Lord)
@Trenaxtrenox @Glock015 @DanielRPK Nova was the lead of one of the Marvel cosmic events in ‘Annihilation’. In it he becomes the sole surviver of Annihilus’ “Annihilation Wave” as it passed through Xandar. As the only surviving member of the Nova Corps, he assembled a new Guardians of the Galaxy team to stop him
