Harpursville’s @salmedovich joins me to talk about her sports career & being diagnosed with thyroid cancer at age 16. Her positive attitude is amazing!

June Regents canceled. Schools closed until April 29th. Signs of curve flattening. Lets stay optimistic. We need students in classrooms in order for them to participate in sports. Practicing social distancing increases the likelihood of spring sports being a reality. @NYSPHSAA

Sent this memo to the @NYSPHSAA Section Executive Directors today. When schools are able to reopen, focusing on the spring sports “regular” season & providing students with an opportunity to participate will be most important; state championships will be a bonus! Be safe.
