While it is fair to expect reciprocity, it is unfair to hold MBS to the same standard as Netanyahu. This is the complexity. MBS has a much more tenuous position as certain factions of Saudi Arabia aren’t thrilled with the changes he’s made (it’s a minority but they’re powerful).
At the same time, MBS’ biggest play probably comes from just doing a deal with Israel at some point and saying, “screw it, we are going all in, and if you don’t like it, so what.”
This is a delicate process internally in Saudi Arabia and needs the right conditions and timing to be in place. I am sure it will come and will be done. Saudi has far more to gain aligned with Israel than it does against it, as today’s barbaric Houthi attacks show.
Bibi’s statement was a class act, 10/10 points for this!
Extremely rare condemnation of attack on Saudi coming from Israel.
FYI, Saudi never condemned the Oct 7th Hamas massacre and instead blamed Israel for it.
These terrorists in Gaza (Hamas) and Yemen (Houthis) could not be more dumb if they tried! Imagine targeting Israel on Oct 7 and a few years later choosing 11 Oct as your attack date for Saudi. Now, remember, your goal is to divide the Muslim and the Jewish world, but you choose 2 almost identical dates to start terrorist attacks on the only Jewish economy and the largest, if not major, Arab economy’s people.
This goes to show that both Palestine and Yemen are essentially finished as states as we know them. The changes will be enormous over the next 30 years. That goes for Iran as a state too, who is sponsoring all this.
They will see extremist ideology that divides Jews and Muslims fall by the wayside. Those who held out for economic prosperity and hope for peace will prevail.
BREAKING: Saudi Arabia confirms another attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. The General Authority of Civil Aviation says the airport was targeted again this afternoon, October 11. Authorities warn of possible injuries as damage assessments and safety inspections continue.
This is why a deal between Saudi and Israel would make so much sense.
Both are going up, while GDP growth is stronger on the Saudi Arabia side and per capita on the Israeli side. Combine this and it’s an incredible solution!
Capital + Innovation = True Success!

I’ve written about Japanese pharma companies before:
https://t.co/Ko3F7D7dBI
Japanese pharma companies are significantly undervalued right now. The next few major medical breakthroughs will come out of Japan.
This is CRAZY…
A bacterium discovered in the gut of a Japanese tree frog just COMPLETELY ERADICATED CANCER in 100% of treated mice after ONE DOSE.
Ewingella americana even OUTPERFORMED chemotherapy and immunotherapy in the study.
@CleansedTweets So how are some people making 100k or crazy amounts like that off X … or is there no one doing that now? @grok what’s the curve on this and stdev
Golda Meir was a legend.
The thing that people miss with Israel is the obvious: just like Singapore becoming an independent state (in ‘65), there is no question that the country Israel as an independent nation (‘48) has fared much better off as a result.
It’s really very self evincing. There is no arguing this as it’s an economic fact. I’m surprised not to see the comparison more often drawn given the huge similarities.
Golda Meir, 1970: before the First World War this was not a Palestinian state. It was southern Syria under the Ottomans.
Then a British Mandate. Jews and Arabs.
No Palestinian nation. No country taken from a people that did not exist.
She was right and my god what a leader and woman she was. There is no such thing as Palestine. Stand with Israel. 🇮🇱 🙏💪
I mean … that’s politics 🤣 Literally 99% of people at the top of any profession are exactly the same! What made Lord Archer unusual was that he started out with nothing and rose to the great heights of political influence. Most don’t start with nothing; there’s a nest egg there to propel them along. It would be nicer to see more bottom-up success stories today like his, but I fear that’s not the case.
Jeffrey Archer was a liar and a conman who thought nothing of destroying those who got in his way. But his faux charm and baseless positivity endeared him to all the right people. You can speak ill of the dead when their lives deserved it.
Every story in the foreign press today about the Russian plague is based on one news story which has essentially been copy-pasted and rewritten. Here it is:
https://t.co/Ti6kPHfXcq
This story is not behind a paywall and free for everyone to read, and represents an example of excellent journalism.
Very sad to see media is smearing the girl who worked at the plague institute, and was clearly a great scientist, so this should also stop. At the same time, many unanswered questions here.
I think EA gets a lot of shtick from people because some of its members are so ideological and so close, but honestly, I agree with most of what EA preaches. Make a big difference in the world in a way that’s logical rather than emotionally-interpreted, be the change, have a few close-knit trusted people you can depend upon to ride the ups and downs and keep your own benefits and hence contributions to society consistent. It seems logical and purposeful to me.
Critics argue that effective altruists are at best naive idealists whose contact with the real world often backfires—at worst, sinister utilitarians. Register for free to learn how the debate will determine AI’s future, and perhaps humanity’s https://t.co/iArlAJwvCR
