Within 30 years, Britain has experienced 3 price shocks for their energy (2008, 2021, and 2022).

As you remember, these have dealt difficult times to many households and industries alike.

The worst part about it? It was all a choice.

Whitehall’s lanyard class opted for us to be an energy poor nation; carbon taxes and windfall levies make the sector unprofitable in hard times, therefore crushing our capacity to secure supply for ourselves.

This is no way to manage a nation’s energy.

Instead, the SDP would ensure that Central Energy holds 12 months worth of stockpiled supply to ensure energy security for the UK - no more putting Britain in precarity for the sake of net-zero.
