As the draft comes to a close my first thought is, like many, I'm a little surprised by Anaheim's approach. I'm not necessarily upset, I think Klepov especially has incredible potential, I guess I was just anticipating picks being dangled for guys who can help win now.
@RyanGibbs56 He’s a lefty too, why are we supposedly looking at signing a LD when the whole point of trading Zell was that we didn’t have room on the left side
@AlDaugereaux@PatrickCPresent@PuckPedia Yea, as someone who always wants picks I love the move. But as someone who wants their team to win now I’m hesitant, need to see how the rest of free agency goes and see what they do with that 7m
@Felix_Sicard Not that I hate the pick but how long until we see this guy? 2 or 3 years? And even then he’s a rookie and expecting to have to adjust to the league. The window is now, what are we delaying for
@DucksFanZone I get that, but when he did come in he felt like the only player to add some life to the team at the end of that series. The ducks management feels like they make their mind up about players very early on and no matter how they perform they don’t change their opinions. Not smart
@DucksKeys Am I crazy for thinking this is the worst thing they have made in my lifetime?? We’re all just so desperate for fun new jerseys that people get excited about actually anything. These colors are horrid
Give credit to the Ducks. They exceeded expectations in the playoffs.
The young core looks rock solid. Carlsson, Gauthier, Sennecke, and LaCombe look like franchise cornerstones for years to come.
The challenge will now be to sufficiently surround these guys as they mature.
