Today, on Good Friday, we pause to reflect on the sacrifice that changed the world.
It’s a day of humility, gratitude, and hope — remembering that even in our darkest moments, redemption is possible and love triumphs over all.
As we reflect today, may we be reminded to serve one another, lead with compassion, and stand firmly in truth.
"But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed."
— Isaiah 53:5
Wishing you and your family a meaningful Good Friday.

Two county Republican Party units have now offered to host a debate in Minnesota’s 7th District.
Michelle Fischbach flatly declined both invitations, even when the hosts offered her to name the date, time, and place of her choice.
These aren’t requests from a campaign — they’re invitations from local Republican leaders and grassroots activists who simply want voters and delegates to hear from both candidates.
Why won’t she face the people she was elected to serve?
Debates are a cornerstone of accountability. They give voters the opportunity to compare ideas, leadership, and vision for the future.
Dave Hughes is ready.
“I’ll debate Michelle Fischbach anytime, any place. Delegates and voters deserve that.”

🌿✝️ Palm Sunday — A Time of Hope and Humility ✝️🌿
Today, we celebrate Palm Sunday — the day Jesus entered Jerusalem in humility, welcomed by crowds waving palm branches and proclaiming hope. It’s a powerful reminder that true leadership is rooted in service, courage, and faith.
As we begin Holy Week, let us reflect on the values that unite us: faith, freedom, humility, and love for our neighbors.
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
— Matthew 21:9
May God bless you and your family this Palm Sunday, and may He continue to bless Minnesota’s 7th District and the United States of America. 🇺🇸

Great to be at the Senate District 21 Convention today!
It was an honor to spend time with grassroots Republicans who care deeply about the future of our country, our values, and our freedoms. I enjoyed sharing my vision for Minnesota’s 7th District and listening to the concerns and priorities of delegates from across the district.
The energy in the room was clear — people are ready for strong leadership, smaller government, secure borders, and representatives who will stand firmly for our Constitution.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit, ask questions, and share your encouragement. Your support and dedication are what make this movement strong.
Together, we’re building momentum across MN-07 — and we’re just getting started.

Friday night, Dave Hughes spoke at the Big Stone County Convention, where a delegate asked an important question: How would you be different from Michelle Fischbach?
Here’s what I shared:
Second Amendment 🇺🇸
While she may vote against new infringements on our 2A rights, I will do that AND immediately push to abolish existing infringements, including:
• Repeal the National Firearms Act of 1934
• Repeal the Gun Control Act of 1968
• Repeal the 1986 Hughes Amendment
Constituent Accessibility
While Michelle Fischbach does virtual town halls and occasional talk radio, she’s held only about two in-person town halls in six years in Congress.
I will do talk radio and virtual town halls — more of both — AND hold 39 in-person town halls every year, one in each county of Minnesota’s Seventh Congressional District.
These will be publicly advertised so supporters, detractors, and everyone in between can ask questions and voice concerns.
Life
Unlike Michelle Fischbach, I will work to Abolish Abortion in America.
This means pursuing a comprehensive, constitutional framework that:
• Recognizes life from conception
• Protects the unborn through federal legislation
• Defunds taxpayer-funded abortion
• Supports mothers, families, and adoption services
• Works toward a national culture that values life
Fiscal Responsibility
While Michelle Fischbach praised the House passing all 12 appropriations bills for 2026 in January — seven months late and three months into the fiscal year — that’s no way to legislate.
This Republican majority Congress produced:
• $1.9 trillion deficit in 2025
• $1.8 trillion deficit for 2026
• $2 trillion deficits projected for years to come
I would have voted NO on most of those bills and pushed Congressional leadership toward balancing our budget.
Minnesota’s 7th District deserves bold leadership, real accountability, and a representative who will fight for our values. 🇺🇸
Thank you to the delegates in Big Stone County for the thoughtful questions and strong discussion. #MN07
Last Saturday, Dave Hughes spoke at the SD15 Convention and delivered a clear message: conservatives in Minnesota’s 7th District deserve stronger leadership and real fiscal responsibility. 🇺🇸
I told the delegates that anything they like about what Michelle Fischbach is doing — I would do better.
When asked which votes I would have taken differently, I didn’t hesitate:
• I would not have sent funds to Ukraine
• I would not vote to raise the debt ceiling
• I would have voted NO on the One Big Beautiful Bill until Congress amended it to actually make a dent in our irresponsible and scandalously high annual federal budget deficit
Washington keeps spending.
Career politicians keep compromising.
And taxpayers keep paying the price.
Minnesota’s 7th District deserves a fighter who will stand firm, demand fiscal discipline, and put America First. 🇺🇸
Thank you to the SD15 delegates for the thoughtful questions and strong conversation. The momentum is building. Let's get to work. #MN07
🌾 Happy National Agriculture Day! 🇺🇸
Today, we celebrate the hardworking farmers, ranchers, and producers who feed our nation, fuel our economy, and preserve the way of life that built America.
Living in northwest Minnesota, I’ve seen firsthand the long hours, unpredictable weather, and rising costs our agricultural families face. Our farmers don’t ask for handouts — they ask for fair markets, less red tape, and policies that allow them to pass their farms on to the next generation.
Agriculture isn’t just an industry in Congressional District 7 — it’s our backbone. It’s our communities. It’s our future.
In Congress, I’ll fight to:
🌾 Cut burdensome regulations
🌾 Strengthen rural economies
🌾 Protect family farms
🌾 Expand market access
🌾 Ensure the next generation can continue our agricultural legacy
On National Agriculture Day, let’s thank the men and women who rise before dawn, work until dark, and keep America strong.
God bless our farmers, and God bless America. 🇺🇸 #MN07
This week, March 15–21, we celebrate National Agriculture Week—a time to honor the hardworking men and women who feed, fuel, and sustain our nation.
Here in one of the top agricultural districts in the country, we know that farming isn’t just an industry—it’s a way of life. It’s early mornings, long days, and a deep commitment to stewarding the land for future generations.
Dave Hughes is the leader we need.
He knows the challenges our farmers face: rising input costs, burdensome regulations, market uncertainty, and the need for fair trade. And he’s ready to fight for policies that protect our producers, strengthen rural communities, and ensure American agriculture remains the best in the world.
This National Agriculture Week, let’s not just celebrate our farmers—let’s stand with them by electing a representative who will be their voice in Washington.
Support Dave Hughes for Congress. 🌽 #MN07
Great to be at the Cottonwood County Republican Convention! 🇺🇸
Several Cottonwood County delegates shared with me that they’re ready for new leadership representing us in the U.S. House. I’m grateful for the encouragement and the thoughtful conversations about the future of Minnesota’s 7th District.
I will continue traveling to every corner of the district—listening, sharing my vision for what Congress needs to do, and fighting for the values that matter to our communities.
I hope to earn the endorsement, and more importantly, the trust of the people of this district. The work continues. 🇺🇸. #MN07
Great to spend time with the hardworking Republicans of Brown County at their convention!
I appreciated the thoughtful questions and the opportunity to talk about the challenges facing Minnesota’s 7th District and our nation—from runaway spending and the looming Social Security crisis to securing our elections and defending the sanctity of life.
Washington doesn’t need more career politicians. It needs leaders willing to tell the truth about the problems we face and the courage to fix them.
Thank you to the Brown County Republicans for the warm welcome and for standing up for faith, family, freedom, and the Constitution.

I appreciated the opportunity to spend time with the Renville County Republicans at their convention this weekend.
One question I was asked was how I plan to handle criticism for my abolitionist stance on abortion. My answer was simple: I’m not concerned about criticism. When it comes to the defense of innocent life, my position is immovable.
Protecting life isn’t a political calculation—it’s a moral conviction.
If you agree that we need leaders in Congress who will stand firmly for life, I invite you to support our campaign.

Thank you to the Swift County Republicans for the opportunity to share my vision for what needs to be done when I’m elected to Congress to represent my hardworking neighbors in Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District. 🇺🇸
One of the questions I was asked was about reforming Social Security. I was honest: none of the options are attractive.
• Raising the eligibility age
• Raising the already scandalously high payroll tax
• Reducing benefits
But the worst option of all is doing nothing.
Washington politicians have known this problem was coming for years and chose to ignore it. Kicking the can down the road only makes the solutions harder and more painful for the next generation.
We must confront the challenge now, not later. Responsible leadership means telling the truth, tackling tough problems, and protecting the promises made to seniors while ensuring the system is there for our children and grandchildren.
Thank you again to the Swift County Republicans for the thoughtful conversation and for caring about the future of our country. 🙏
