A huge thank you to both speakers for sharing their expertise and insights on how to approach #interdisciplinary research in quantitative history. Your perspectives will no doubt inspire and benefit all of us.

Day 1 of the 10th International Symposium on #QuantitativeHistory saw inspiring research from our keynote speakers. Our advisory board members in action: 📉📈Stephen Broadberry @UniofOxford explored "Innovation and the #GreatDivergence", while 🛣️ Hilde De Weerdt @hild_de @EMHLeuven @IISG_Amsterdam re-examined the social history of Pre-Twentieth-Century Infrastructures. 📊 Our very own Co-PI Cameron Campbell @hkust discussed #BigData for the study of Late Qing Elites, and 📚Tuan-Hwee Sng @NUSingapore revisited GW Skinner by counting counties in Song China. Also, big thanks to all paper presenters, discussants and session chairs at the great parallel sessions! 🙌
