#Aurora amazing what photos you can take with an iPhone. If it’s out again tonight a tip: shoot in raw max, keep it still, use portrait mode with the lowest F stop you have. Then try 3 second exposure and also 10. See what works best for you 👍
The custody staff have a very challenging job and are often the unsung hero’s of investigations. If I still wore one, I’d take my hat off to each and every one of them.

Calling someone mate in custody or being compassionate is not a friend request on bookface, an invitation to a pint at the pub or a Sunday roast with the officers family. It is however a way of trying to keep the detainee calm, trying to stop them hurting themselves,
and get justice for families with victims very much at the forefront of why they do what they do and how they do it despite the personal feelings they have to hide. A threatening and intimidating custody sergeant is no help to anyone, especially the families.
Everyone is entitled to to their opinion but comments like these do an injustice to every hard working cop out there who isn’t interested in the politics, they just want to do a good job, get justice for people and get home safely to their loved ones.

The personal attacks on my colleagues are getting out of hand on here. We’re not tv actors, we’re cops allowing ourselves to be filmed to try and show what we do and you only get to see a snippet of it during the program. Everyone worked their arses off to get these convictions
I understand it’s difficult to comprehend with the crimes people commit but it’s what they have to do. Jacob is an outstanding detective and it was Movember when being filmed so he was raising money for charity.
A month today I leave for Kathmandu to start the Everest Base Camp trek to raise money for @ThinBlueLineUK with colleagues from @eschallenge2023
Please speak up if you’re struggling; friends, colleagues will always listen. Taking the first step is hard but you can do it 💪
My Uncle passed away yesterday after a brave battle with cancer. He was a DC in Herts, mostly in Bishops Stortford. He retired in 2001.
I wouldn’t be where I am today if not for him. Stand down DC 610 Sibthorp. Thank you for everything. @HertsPolice
46 days until I join the Everest Base Camp challenge for the Thin Blue Line Charity. Please follow @eschallenge2023 for updates & if you can spare a few quid, donations are gratefully received.
Made it up Ben Nevis for a training walk, the weather & climb was bloody relentless!
@NorfolkPolfed@ThinBlueLineUK Heartbreaking. My thoughts are with their families, colleagues & friends.
Please speak up if you’re struggling, we need to get to a place where it’s okay to not be okay and @ThinBlueLineUK are always ready to listen as are your colleagues. My DM’s are always open.
