💔 Sheridan Gorman, 18 years old, was killed 4 days ago by an illegal alien who had an active warrant. She is one of hundreds killed by people who would’ve been deported if our agencies helped. We must focus on common sense policies to save our citizens! My prayers are with this family. 🤞🏾
@Williamjkelly@foxandfriends@FoxNews I went to Loyola. Walked those streets for four years. The idea that our local media and politicians are trying to make this a “wrong place at wrong time” instead of their FAILURE to keep citizens safe is sickening.
As a father, I grieve for Sheridan’s parents for this unspeakable tragedy.
This was a failure of not holding criminal migrants accountable and not protecting the public—and another tragic reason why I was the Dem lead on the Laken Riley law.
Chicago schools CEO Macquline King urged the school board to pass her budget tonight.
It excludes high-interest borrowing & a pension payment to the city.

"This cold-blooded murder is the clear result of continued calls to 'globalize the intifada'. Accepting the rhetoric of violence has been not only tolerated, but condoned, by some in our public spaces."
Truth - and it has grown terrorists in our city.
@PavichevichAnna@Giannoulias This article fails to describe that students are not LEARNING. The idea that they can make things up, all the way to the end of the semester, creates a false image of "passing." PASSING is the big idea here. No where do they talk about proficiency.
to be clear: these aren't new librarians. these are just repurposing jobs at the discretion of the principal. if we want to call putting the word librarian in the contract a win, we can do that, but this isn't guaranteeing those positions.
A visit to a rich school and a poor school on the same day is an experience every teacher should have. There’s a lot of “this works for me” and “this is the problem with education” but a simple trip to these two extremes and talking to teachers will ground you real quick.
