#Delhi has approved its new EV Policy, effective from 1st Jul 2026, to 31st Mar 2030.

▪️Zero road tax fee on EVs under ₹30 lakh
▪️EV 2Ws get incentives up to ₹30,000

In Assam, even the meagre 2% subdidry on EV Registration is withdrawn.

There was a 2% subsidy in registration of EV cars in Assam & that was the only Government incentive for buying an EV.

Seems even this has been done away with now as current RTO charges are calculated at 10% in VAHAN - at par with ICE vehicles.

@himantabiswa The only incentive on EV 4W was a mere 2% subsidy on RTO tax. Even that has been done away with.

The Assam Electric Vehicle Policy 2021 remains only on paper.

That's surely not the best way to promote EV 4W adoption in the state.
