When you have a chronic illness It’s normal if you don’t have any friends. There will be times in your life where you might only have one or two, or none at all. Sometimes it’s because you just can’t maintain friendships, sometimes it’s because you haven’t found someone who truly understands. Media normalizes having a gaggle of friends and loved ones. But there are so many of us who are ill who don’t have any, and we are just making it work, despite it being so lonely sometimes. Just know you are not alone. I don’t have any true and deep friendships right now, and if you don’t either, then we are going through this at the same time. Stay strong. We are alone, together.
