Agreed. I have family who are citizens. This is all emotional knee-jerking and not statecraft. I am embarrassed we are acting like petulant children. Liberals have made no attempts - it baffles me - my own small buisness is now dead. This hurts us all, and not for a short period. I am interested to see where all these people calling for austerity are in 5 or 10 years when the long term consequences come home to roost.
Liberalism in Canada has become a cult like following. Since when did wanting to buy a home at a reasonable price, have reasonable opportunity for employment and a good wage, fair taxation, unbias media, safe communities, business opportunities without unreasonable regulations nationally and internationally, and free from unreasonable government control in our lives become so bad? That makes me close to a fascist? How does this make me a Trumpian? Who would have thought these were right wing? I give up on this country - we have a serious ideological rot taking hold that is going to brush away any unique Canadian identity in a generation. We are blindly running off a cliff - culturally, economically, and nationally. It appears only us "fascists" see it.
@Philly_P87 A vote for a Liberal is self mutilation. Over a decade of decline in all most all measurements of sucess and they are completely blind to it. Goes to show you abuse something long enough it accepts it as the new normal.
For every $1000 you pay in federal income tax, $110.00 goes goes towards healthcare. PST also goes towards that. For example, 40% of all PST monies in BC goes back into healthcare. Please stop saying its free, its not.
The average worker in British Columbia earns about $68,000 per year before taxes. Based on that income, a typical B.C. resident likely contributes roughly $3,500–$4,500 annually toward Canada's public health-care system through a combination of federal and provincial income taxes, as well as GST and PST. About $2,500–$3,000 of that comes from income taxes, with the remainder contributed indirectly through sales taxes. While the exact amount varies with spending and tax deductions, this is a reasonable estimate for the average B.C. earner.
In my meaner, younger, more aggressive days, I would have stopped, threatened that dirty MFer, and gave him two options: pick that shit up and fill your pockets with it or receive a life changing beating. Amazing how many attitudes change when the application of force is applied. A good old fashioned beating set a lot of people straight. Lets making beating filthy immigrants great again.
@AndrewScheer I am about ready to take to the streets over this government. Torches and pitchforks - time to burn Dr. Mark "Frankenstein" Carney out of his rat hole. Lets push this next protest to the point the Liberals are fleeing Ottawa.
@BoswellDoug Why engage Rod? He's a fucking moron. Rod is what you get when you run around on a 1/4 tank of testosterone and a couple litres short of brain juice.
