We are ready to begin remote learning for kindergarten through 12th grade. I am so proud of our entire community for preparing for this so quickly and capably. We rise to the challenge and learn together @denverjds!
The 4th grade students presented their planet projects today @denverjds. I was very impressed with their work but I was even more impressed with the poise and confidence they exuded while presenting their projects to family and friends.
Today was Read-a-Palooza in the LD! Highlights of the day included Dress as Your Favorite Book Character, a K-5 Read-a-Loud Assembly in the morning, DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time in the afternoon, and many fun classroom read-a-louds and activities.
This afternoon we had a special gathering as we dedicated the Lower Division Principal’s office. Thank you so much to Essie and Jordon z’l Perlmutter and family. Shabbat shalom!
In Morning Meeting one of our new transfer students shared that she was looking forward to coming back to school next week. She then explained that she had never said that about school before in her life, and she thinks it's pretty great that she can say it now. (We concur!)
It's Back To School Night for the Lower Division @denverjds. Parents are not just hearing about what their children are doing in school but they are actually experiencing it first hand. What a night!
On this MLK Day let's gather together and learn about community and pluralism. I hope you will join us tonight at 7PM @denverjds as we welcome Dr. Michael Kay, incredible educator and head of Solomon Schechter of Westchester. https://t.co/fPkDj0I8b8
Lower Division Teachers had a great PD day. Taking a field trip to a Project Based Learning school generated great ideas and connections to colleagues and the community. @denverjds
