Somewhere in Germany yesterday a German, a Brit, and 4 Americans did this at the end of the Berlin Wall 100.

That these souls connected, that these friendships were made, that this 100 mile race was finished and that the Ten Junk Miles flag was flown (so to speak) is why the TJM community was created, why I spend my time being a steward for it, and why I try to grow and attract people to this community, by runners, for runners, so that we don’t have to run alone, figuratively or, in this case, actually.

And you, as a community, make things like this happen. The friendships. The camaraderie., and of course, the love. Thank you. You knock me out.

When I die, I will for sure know, that this was one of the best things i’ve ever been a part of.

There’s plenty of room under the tent. Come and build the community you seek. Life’s too short to not have running friends.

When you tie your identity too closely to what you do, anytime you fail at that thing, you will take it as a failure of your true self. It won't be that I failed at running. It will I am a failure

We say this every year. But it’s a good reminder. We we at @RunTJMRacing buy WAY too much food so every aid station has plenty for even the final runner. As a consequence we have a ton of leftovers. Those leftovers go to the Belleville Food Pantry and benefit the community more than you could ever imagine!! This is another cool thing the runners may not know. This is a huge impact. And you are a big part of it.
