If comparing the exploration Xenoverse mode that also essentially ends with a raid boss in a 4v1 scenario (ya know because they haven’t showed us the 1v1 or PvP stuff yet) to sparkings 1v1 combat is productive in any way then hey go right on ahead. They fundamentally are different. I’m not saying you can’t compare or that people won’t, I’m saying it’s stupid to do so as of now.

It’s natural to try and compare them but that doesn’t mean it isn’t dumb when you look into it. Being real they aren’t doing it for actual comparison, they’re doing it for attention because hate gets clicks. Most comparisons dumbs down one game getting hated on to uplift the other. You can’t even make valid comparisons as of now.

Here’s the core issue you’re having. You think just because one fighter is more complex than the other than it means the other one isn’t a fighter. Yeah Tekken can have more complex mechanics but at the end of the day both are still fighting games.

For your painting example, yeah the Mona Lisa is a complex painting, but that doesn’t mean 7 year old Johnny’s painting isn’t a painting because it’s not on the same level
Of complexity. Your argument is VERY dumb. It’s a fighting game. You literally can’t do anything else gameplay wise besides fight. You can’t explore, you can’t go do quest and level up your character, you can’t build, you can’t shoot, you literally only can fight. There’s not just one type of fighting game and if you can’t understand that then I guess you’ll continue to just be lost 🤷🏾‍♂️

Let me help you because you’re avoiding for whatever reason. You fight my friend. You pick a character or set of characters, and challenge another person or bot to a battle and the winner is determined by who wins the fight, hence a fighting game.

Also, in other fighting games you’re playing as characters as well. That last comment might have been the worst thing you said. Just because it’s not a classic 2D fighter doesn’t mean it’s not a fighter 😭
