In it, they said they used a lip reader, Tina Lannin, who said it was “absolutely not possible” that the term “bad man” was used by Osmajic like he claims.

According to the report Hannibal said Osmajic used the term “black mother”.

She said “bad man” would look like two words and two phonemes, whereas “black” and “brother or mother” would be two words and three phonemes.

When the footage was played at a slower speed, she said she could see three phonemes and her fellow lip reader, James Freestone, was 100 per cent in agreement.

They also said it was ‘clear’ that Hannibal was in good position to beat exactly what was said to him, ruling out any chance Osmajic was misheard by Hannibal.
