Masking will continue for 2 weeks after spring break, removed on April 11th in my school district.

3 more weeks of masking for my kids.

Tonight, @DJUSD decided to keep masks on kids a month after the state of CA drops it’s school mandate, and approx. 60 days after the mandate was dropped for everywhere else.

Not till April 11th, with the option to push that back.

Why? Because kids come last, that’s why.

No more delays for our kids. CDC says not distinction between indoor spaces and schools and you’ve already removed indoor mandate! School mandate must be lifted March 1.

Not another 2 weeks.

CA kids will be dead last again.

It's important not to stigmatize children and teachers who continue to mask. It's also important not to stigmatize children and teachers who choose to unmask.

This picture is from a Bella Vista High School band fundraiser from Saturday night.

All of the adults are unmasked, including school staff who are double-masked mask zealots at school, while the kids are masked as they play their instruments to entertain the unmasked adults.

@DJUSD Coercion is not a good look for a school district. How do you think parents will see this?

They know there is no good reason to tie outdoor masking to vaccination rates. They know you are using kids as pawns; playing a game of social engineering.

The moment it became indisputable that children are extremely unlikely to become sick, let alone die, from Covid, closed schools became institutional child abuse.

This is true irrespective of how much children may or may not spread Covid.

This moment was 11 months ago.

The county public health officer & state told you so in November and again in January.

You didn’t listen.

The community knows you’ve severely botched this.
