@20Thunderchunky @Suffragent_ Nah, not what I said ... your words not mine. Nowhere said we need more immigrants. The trouble is uk won't support it's own. To go through uni in the uk , brits in debt £30k , £60k or to be a doctor £100k 10 years study.. France costs 230€ PER YEAR tuition fees.

Bad government planning over the years. Not enough Brit kids to support Brit elderly. Shortage of skilled workers. You do the math.

@CharlotteZ1111 3.6 children per family in 1963 down to 1.4 in the 1990s. This is not sustainable for an ageing population. 1992 57million 2024 67million. 5 million of that baby boomers. The other ½ immigration needed to care for said ageing population. UK over last 40 years has created this.

@CharlotteZ1111 Let's hope the narrative changes; instead of blaming immigrants (who can't vote and create fear in voters). Let's hope the government starts to support English families to have 2 or 3 children and make it more affordable to get educated to fill the jobs in health and skilled.
