@franmirabella I agree 100%, if somehow Bungie can put its RAD team to build out Dungeons and or a zombie horde like mode that funnels players into the extraction loop that would ideal.
@kruzer The game needs a system that allows you to destroy a gold item for “gold dust” so you can get exclusive cool cosmetics to create a sink for this
If you played from beginning to end, even with some lapses in between. There were bumpy roads and multiple triumphs. This was not just a game, it is and was a social experience and dare I say Masterpiece. This IP deserves a future #Destiny3
@kruzer I love the open play week! This game is amazing the more you play the better it gets. I think a buddy pass would be a good idea. Those who have bought the game could let a friend try the game free for 10 hours to show them the ropes.
@TheTrueVanguard I want both games to succeed. The funny thing is campaigning against one game hurts the other because they are made by the same company. People can’t seem to understand that.
Idk, actively campaigning against a game out of spite seems really childish to me.
I’m not trying to force anyone to play or like Marathon. But it is actually a really good game and I’d hate for the people who DO love it to end up having their game struggle just because negative sentiment is so strong among the people who aren’t engaged with it.
Both things can be true at once. You can be gutted that Destiny is ending. And you can just quietly not be interested in Marathon too. You can campaign in favor of Destiny’s future and I’m 100% with you in that effort. And you can also not add fuel to the flames when it comes to campaigning against Marathon.
Bungie spent 12 years building Halo. 1999 - overseeing Reach in 2011. Then started over with Destiny.
Destiny has been their world for... 12 years, 2014 to 2026.
Few studios build one universe with that kind of staying power. Bungie built two. I wouldn't rule out a third.
The reality is that now, more than ever, people should want Marathon to win. If it can thrive, it can expand in interesting ways, it can give Bungie runway and leeway with Sony for future projects. It's all upside if you want more Bungie games or even more Destiny. Marathon dying from here doesn't help anyone. Though that does not mean I'm going to just cheerlead if things don't turn around
@PaulTassi This hopefully will spark them to add upgrades to factions in season 2 that lets you upgrade your free sponsored kits like the Rook upgrades.
