Fitness is often portrayed as a complex puzzle, leaving us chasing the latest trends. The truth is, the healthiest and fittest individuals focus on nailing the basics. It's about executing the "boring" fundamentals that pave the way to long term health and fitness success.
Summers almost here! If you’re looking to dial it in these next few weeks, here are 4 things to focus on to look and feel your best…
1. Track your caloric intake for 1 week
2. Aim for 1g of protein per pound of bodyweight
3. Strength Training
4. Shoot for 7-10k steps per day.
The single most impactful “hack” there is for better health and performance is better sleep. Here's a few strategies to get better sleep:
1. Limit screen time 30 minutes before bed
2. Avoid caffeine after 3pm
3. 60-68 degrees in the bedroom
4. Listen to some white noise
If your goal is to get stronger or put on some muscle, and you’re not seeing the progress you’d like, pay attention to your rest periods in between sets. Many folks tend to rush their rest, and as a result, are not able to recover enough to sustain maximal performance output.
Hitting a training "plateau" is a lot like hitting traffic. Even though your progress slows down, and you may come to a stop here and there, you still continue to move forward. The only way to hit a true plateau is if you turn the engine off and get out of the car.

Everyone knows that consistency is the most important factor when it comes to fitness — but how do you stay consistent? Here are 6 strategies to help you stick with your fitness routine…
3. Schedule your sessions ahead of time. Block off times on your calendar and stick to it — make it non-negotiable.
4. On days where you’re not feeling your best or you’re feeling unmotivated, get yourself to at least do your warm-up.
