Instead it asks if the user wants to confirm the already-selected value and if the user confirms, it dismisses the interface. In what case would a user opening this UI and tapping a number NOT currently selected want to merely reconfirm the already-set temp? #badUI

@ecobee this is bewilderingly bad UI design. If you present a list as a carousel (an infamously bad modality), the user expects to be able to tap any of the displayed numbers to immediately select them.

@Grimmbow_ @wickedgame Point is that the way they’ve communicated it in the trailer is needlessly ambiguous and at worst misleading. “Coming April 30th”, then showing the logos for all platforms would logically be interpreted as “it’s coming to all platforms April 30th”.

How is it possible that the app is capable of telling the user it has registered a thermostat adjustment, when in the background it can't talk to the thermostat? Why doesn't this pop up an immediate error instead of misleading the user?

@ecobee Wondering if Ecobee will ever fix the DHCP issues it introduced last year? For over a year I and others I know have had frequent DHCP failures, leading to sporadic disconnects. Spent a while with support on this and they couldn't figure it out either.

@ecobee So I went and looked at my thermostat and saw that it had once again lost its wifi connection for a few hours, yet the app indicated everything was fine.
