π 7 days, 9 callouts π
Our team have had a very busy week.Β We've averaged over 1 callout a day, including 3 callouts to people stranded at Sandymount Strand.
How to avoid getting stranded:
> learn about local tides.Β If you're unfamiliar with a beach, ask a lifeguard or a local.
> know that incoming tides can quickly backfill behind.
> walkers should check tide times before heading out.
> bring a phone to call for help.

π Callout update - be careful during this sunny spell π
We had three callouts over the last 24 hours assisting casualties in Sandymount, Sandycove and White Rock.
The good weather is bringing crowds to the sea and that good weather is set to continue.
Remember:
> Watch for incoming tides.
> Stay hydrated.
> Be careful of uneven surfaces.
> Stay within your depth.
Have fun and enjoy the sun π. But go home safely.
We wish Spirit of Shackleton safe onward passage.

βοΈ Never drink and dive - incident update βοΈ
Last Monday we had a callout to the 40 foot. A couple of swimmers had gotten into difficulty attempting to swim to one of the buoys. With the help of some other swimmers they were brought to safety.
Alcohol severely reduces your ability to swim and respond to risks as it impairs your judgement.
Do not consume alcohol before you enter open water. It puts you, and the people around you, at risk.

Our team in Dun Laoghaire is very proud of you Andy. Here's to the next 10 years π
