Let's not forget this: after Trump was elected president, we Kurds were subjected to genocide by ISIS and its supporters in Rojava Kurdistan, first in Afrin and then throughout Rojava. @GunterFehlinger @POTUS45

The Kurds were among the bravest allies of the Free World in the war against ISIS.

They defended Kobane.
They protected Christians, Yazidis and Arabs.
They fought and died while many others watched.

More than 11,000 Kurdish fighters paid in blood to destroy the ISIS Caliphate.

And how were they rewarded?
Abandonment. Pressure. Betrayal.

Turkey attacks them.
Iran threatens them.
Radical militias and extremists still threaten Kurdish regions in Syria and Iraq.

A loyal ally deserved security guarantees, political recognition and long-term partnership — not cynical geopolitical deals.

History will remember the heroes of Kobane.
And history will remember who abandoned them.
