the first thing i want to do is thank God for the ability to create and prosper after all these years of being a musician

people discover new artists every day. the internet is so plentiful that you could spend your entire life searching for something meaningful and still come up with nothing. it's a strange feeling, spending so much time looking for something that makes you feel something, only to walk away feeling nothing at all

i'm grateful to still be one of the artists people can rely on to give them something from my heart

when i first started making this album, it took so many different forms in my mind
after my debut, i promised myself that things had to be different this time around
this album is music in propulsion
momentum as philosophy
it's a testament to how far creativity can stretch in a time when so much of what we hear and see every day feels mundane and boring as fuck
we're all chasing some sense of freedom that we deserve
the freedom to move, to create and to live on our own terms

I've been unemployed for 7 months. Been applying and interviewing with no luck yet and that's with 5 years of experience in my field. I'm unable to use my car right now. (It needs repairs, reinstated insurance and registration, and gas). Nobody in my personal life to ask for money. Nothing of value to sell. I literally can't give blood, I tried once and it was a fail.

I am trying. I swear I am. This is the longest I've been without a job since I was 18. If I get evicted I have no one to stay with and will be in a compact car with 2 cats.

This shit is weighing on my mental and physical health heavily. I'm neurospicy(x5), have fibromyalgia that has been bad from the stress lately, and am unmedicated because I can't afford meds/ doctors visits.

I made a Gofundme because I am out of money and have utilized every resource that I'm aware of. I just want to feel human again a bit, pay all of my bills, and completely focus on finding a job that will allow me to cover these things myself. My rent is due in less than 2 weeks, WiFi bill is almost due, and I'm out of many household things.

Smoke Bonito is a man of many things. He’s a producer, he’s a rapper and he’s an essential part of the Hip-Hop scene in his city. Coming out of Chicago, Smoke Bonito is someone that elevates and uplifts everyone around him to the next level. He’s someone that may not be highly known yet, but he should be and is already respected by artists and people you love and listen to.

As the owner of Studio 55, Smoke Bonito has held open mics, album releases and of course recording time for artists all over the city. On top of that I know Smoke Bonito has donated studio time to schools and kids to get involved more with music. At the core though Smoke Bonito is an artist still and produced for multiple people this year, including some I probably don’t even know about. Outside of his multiple album placements, Smoke Bonito also dropped his own album in 2026. Avoidance brings not only Smoke Bonitos production, but also him rapping, and he’s one of the better producers rapping that I know of. Especially in the underground.

It’s safe to say that Smoke Bonito is a Rising Star without a doubt. Within Chicago he’s an integral part of the equation. I stay looking forward to what Smoke Bonito is working on next, who he’s going to showcase and what artists he’s linked with. Tune into Avoidance & Smoke Bonito today!
