@darwintojesus Thats not evidence that God exists any more than trees, rocks or slime are evidence God exists, thats just an assumption for what you cant explain.
@JChapman1729@MatthewWielicki For starters, thats been happening since the end of the last ice age & at a rate much slower than sea level rise so no the sea level isnt dropping around scotland. 2nd, for what reason does this means sea level rise either isnt happening or isnt a problem around the world?
@plain_see Religion is faith in unproven theories (& its not even theories, its just a series of parables), globe earth is a proven fact that can be seen by anyone willing to look at genuine evidence & debate in good faith.
@AdonaiOnGaia Do you have a source? Bc not only does it not have an author to stand by these words so could have been written by anyone but its factually incorrect. Flat earth isnt kicking anyones ass, its just a handful of grifters continually posting tripe they cant back up with any evidence
@NotEvolution1 Not magical nor miraculous in the sense that god flicked his fingers & it all came into existence in a puff of smoke. Just amazing in the sense of complexity forming by chance over a period of billions of years on at least 1 planet out of trillions & trillions in the universe.
@JChapman1729@MatthewWielicki Well were already seeing more extreme weather, more floods, more droughts, more storms, sea level rise, glaciers melting at accelerated rates, ocean acidification etc etc. I seems the horse has bolted & youre arguing abt how wide the door was left open π€·ββοΈ
@JChapman1729@MatthewWielicki What has that got to do with anything? Sea rise is happening everywhere not just in Vanice, London or India, the Solomons arent sinking but theyve already lost an island & had to move a regional capital.
@JChapman1729@MatthewWielicki Theres been nearly 30yrs of studies since then, its not reasonable to say that bc individual predictions made decades ago werent 100% accurate that means anything significant. The fact of the matter is that global temp avg is increasing & we're almost 1.5Β° up since pre industrial
@JChapman1729@MatthewWielicki The models your were referring to werent trying to accurately predict the rate of warming, they were producing projections on potential. Measurements are taken from around the world incl oceans, not just cities & sea level rise doesnt need to worry abt changes in land level.
@JChapman1729@MatthewWielicki absolute number, just a range bc of the level of uncertainty with multifactor variables. If you want to object to models you need to do with models that use real-world, observed historical data, whose overall projections of long-term global warming have proven highly accurate
@JChapman1729@MatthewWielicki between 1.8Β°-5.6Β° of warming, its a scenario given against multiple variables which gives a range rather than an absolute number, the best case scenario being 1.8Β° the worst case being 5.6Β°, its likely to be somewhere in the middle. They were never designed to give an...
@truthache68 Theyre level but not flat, you dont seem to know the difference between those 2 words! Oceans have a container, its lower lying ground, ocean basins etc that hold it like a bath. It doesnt seek its level, it simply falls under gravity & levels out bc its a liquid
@JChapman1729@MatthewWielicki Climate models arent about predicting weather, theyre not saying there will be a hurricane next week, theyre saying there will be more hurricanes & that theyll be stronger as a trend. In that respect theyve been right.
@RSynns Yes we do but it doesnt kill anywhere the same number of ppl it used to before vaccinations. Were awake, youre the one still living in Andrew Wakefield's delusional scam!
@Keetb999k Mind of a child eh? That why you need to rely on cartoons for all your evidence? Theyre simplified diagrams, not a depiction of observable reality! π€£π€‘π€‘πππ
