Jamey Carney, 43, a New York mother who moved to Killarney Ireland in 2021 with her 13 year old daughter, was beaten to death in her own home Monday night. Her daughter found her body Tuesday afternoon. The suspect is a migrant in his 20s who was known to her and occasionally stayed at her house. He fled immediately after the attack.

Asad Hussain, 36, has been jailed for eight years after orchestrating a months-long stalking campaign against his ex-partner in Northwich, Cheshire, England.

Using the fake name "Mick Renney," Hussain created fake Tinder profiles in her name and gave strangers her home address, falsely claiming she wanted to act out a violent "rape fantasy" and be "roughed up." At least 18 men were deceived into visiting her home, though police believe the true number may be higher.

One night in August 2024, four different men arrived at her house. In September, one man shoved her front door so forcefully after following fake instructions that he smashed a glass pane. On another occasion, a man entered the house while her teenage daughter was upstairs before leaving minutes later.

The victim had ended the relationship in May 2024 after Hussain became controlling, took her phone, read her messages, followed her into a bathroom, prevented her from retrieving her phone alone, and knocked her to the floor when she tried to shut the door.

After the breakup, Hussain also contacted her daughter and friends with false accusations and repeatedly tried to rekindle the relationship.

Police described it as one of the most technically complex and disturbing stalking investigations Cheshire Constabulary has ever handled.
