Spent my morning on HCU yesterday, staff were very welcoming, Thereβs some brilliant tasks for the patients to engage with such as the cardiac rehab walk. Well done everyone ππ»ππ»@SalfordCO_NHS @NCAlliance_NHS@belfield_kim
Today for #NutritionAndHydrationWeek, we have offered our patients, along with hot food, a range of drinks. We also offered jelly, a 125mls of hydration in an appetising format. Although we offer drinks immediately on arrival, it's nice to show what we do have available.
@max_mcallister8 It certainly is. Sometimes the patients who are going home might miss their lunch time care package, waiting for meds or transport, so we can bring them down earlier, make sure they eat well and get them home safely.
The Discharge Lounge is now able to offer a hot meal to our patients before they leave the hospital. There is nothing better than sending someone home when they've eaten well.
93k NHS staff vacancies. Β£6bn spend on temporary staff to fill gaps. 55% of staff working unpaid extra hours each week. 44% saying they've felt ill with work related stress. NHS desperately needs long term workforce planning. Govt must make this happen this week. R/T if you agree
