Elongated development cycles and huge $100 million to $500 million budgets... How do you recoup that when most games coming out are unfinished unoptimized slop... While charging $70 to $100 (for early access lol) for a AAA game that is unfinished at best.
None of these publishers understand or care that we as the people shelling out cash for their slop games are being squeezed from all sides... New expensive AAA games aren't being bought for the reasons above but more importantly we can't afford them. They shout "market conditions" while raising prices on games and hardware... Well, they're finding out we as consumers have more overwhelming "market conditions" than these multi-billion and trillion dollar companies could ever hope to understand. They are fucked and the current crash is more than well deserved.

Finished up the DLC for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle - "The Order of Giants". Now I can claim that I've 100% finished the game getting all the achievements.
All in all, it was a fun excursion tramping through underground Rome unravelling the mystery of a Mythraic Cult.

Maybe if they and/or Xbox had felt the same way when they were part of the fold perhaps, they wouldn't have had to go independent.
But no, they lived off the piggy bank of MS largesse and now that mom has kicked them out of the house and turned off the spigot, they have to deal with reality.

@TechPowerUp Console downloads, for me, are in the 300 range but on PC it's only at 11 Mbps. It's maddening...

When are you folks going to address the horrible download speeds on Xbox PC?
11 Mbps (yes, 11 Mbps) in 2026 is absolutely crazy & ridiculous!
If you're still heading towards a PC/Console hybrid, with Project Helix, these download speeds aren't going to cut it.

@asha_shar's post of the staff e-mail should be a wake up call to all publishers and dev teams.
I'm in wait and see mode and as always I wait for what the principals have to say rather than freaking out over every rumour.

If they want to sell those games, they need to end day one releases and then lower the price of Game Pass back down to $14.99... Which I am all for.
