@psychedalex68 Small teams have to stand out in schemes more because it's the only way their car will get attention most of the time. Starcom was great at this briefly.
@AnonymousLeftie@jaketropolis I saw a quarter of an aisle today in the store I worked in that had a bunch of British stuff (like Branston pickle and Heinz beans) that I haven't seen in other stores in that chain.
What does that tell you about the surrounding culture of the town?
@Diabolical_Drew@TunaFeeshy@RevolverJerm Not to mention the fact that if the product is sold in at a lower price due to a promotion with the store and then taking it back at full price, the salesman loses money instead of breaking even.
@Diabolical_Drew@TunaFeeshy@RevolverJerm I work for one of those companies now. I left each one to take a better position in each one.
When the loose cans inevitably get brought to the back of the store and gets returned for credit, the store gets the money back for the product. So, the salesman loses the money.
@stelle307@RevolverJerm And then the store employees find the 12 cans loose on the pallet, bring them to the backroom, and get credit for the product because it gets considered a damaged item.
@TunaFeeshy@RevolverJerm I've worked for several of these kinds of companies, including Pepsi like you specifically mentioned. This guy doesn't know anything.
@15thindotribe@RevolverJerm Vendors don't work on commission? Yes they do. It's a percentage of the sales they make. Any returns, like the 12 pack of cans that the store will find on a pallet, come out of the sales reps paycheck.
