@evaoddveig @MichaelCayne Great question. I DM my kids and we use a house rule similar to a grenade throw where a missed shot (by more than 10 pts) goes into one of 8 adjacent squares and if someone is there, roll to hit, but it only hits on a crit) keeps it simple.
