@America1776Save@LAGovJeffLandry Don't take my taxes and send them to people who should have to pay for private schools on their own since that is their choice. Private schools that accept theses vouchers should have to pay taxes and be held to the same standards. It's a disgrace and theft.
@America1776Save@LAGovJeffLandry That's not the same. Public is funded by all, by definition, and since its compulsory to a certain age, must be provided. Private is funded by the users. Private is your choice. You have the option to public but choose private, so it's your responsibility to pay for, not mine.
@America1776Save@LAGovJeffLandry Also waiting for any evidence that these vouchers will improve things. Not a good track record beyond perpetuating segregation.

@America1776Save@LAGovJeffLandry There is no single argument that I have heard that will change my mind on this. It's borderline unconstitutional. Any private school that accepts these public funds should lose tax exempt status. I have no issues with private schools, but I shouldn't pay for others to go to them.
@America1776Save@LAGovJeffLandry Also, states that have already done this have seen their schools go south. Ours are already at the bottom, so I guess you want them to keep digging deeper than the bottom?
@America1776Save@LAGovJeffLandry That doesn't excuse the fact that public dollars do not belong in private education. Private is a choice, not a right. Fight for better investment in public education and this wouldn't be an issue. Instead they pull money to intentionally water down public schools.
@RichardGrenell Actually, my love of my country causes the hatred of one man who tried, and is still trying, to destroy it. Stop supporting the criminal.
@America1776Save@LAGovJeffLandry Parents have always had the option to send their kids to private schools. I did it myself for a number of years. But it's a choice, not a requirement. Public funding for private education is not the way to do it. His goal is to wreck public education with this.
@SenJohnKennedy You're a damn joke. There was enough evidence that a jury of 12 with varying backgrounds, who were selected by both groups lawyers, only had to deliberate for 9 or 10 hours to reach a unanimous decision.
Stop being a moron and endorsing a criminal! Party of law and order my ass!
@jimodonnell2 It's incredible to me how the protesters are complaining about genocide while many of them at the same time are saying "Death to Jews". The war needs to stop, but this is definitely not a black and white issue.
@Zwiftef@GregHilburn1 Sadly, it means they will likely lose their spots and be forced into charter schools because the leaders of this so-called city have no actual plans for a school district. But hey, their charter school cronies will make lots of money on it!
