Did you miss out on the biggest part of the move when you opened the position?
Did you open the position when the stock was moving fast? Time premium will rise with volatility. You don’t want to chase for this specific reason.

With this you will have the conviction to stay or cut.
It’s easier to say than in practice.
Study, build your WL and just observe the price action to start seeing the right/wrong patterns

I have not found a loss level that will work consistently.
However, there should be a thesis on why you entered the position.
When the thesis is found to be false, time to close.
