@eggasalad@pescami@mkonnikova Regarding pronunciation/meaning, "diol" Is a common suffix for chemical compounds and is unrelated to oil. Diol ("die awl") means an alcohol containing two hydroxyl groups. On the attached chemical structure, the red 0's and pendant H's are the 2 hydroxyls.
@daringfireball I'm a bit older so for me Toys R Us was the store that usurped ChildWorld and had an offensively non-sensical name. Plus dumb giraffes.
